Effective Business Process Management

Overview

Effective Business Process Management

Mapping, Analysis and Modeling

Processes are critical to business transformation and execution today. Accurately representing a process is critical to realizing the expectations of management when processes are implemented. Before you can accurately represent the process you need to address and analyze performance and improvement issues. Skill in these three core needs form the basis of enterprise transformation, integration or consolidation. They also form the foundation for enterprise growth through acquisitions, adding new products, e-commerce, e-government and enterprise excellence.

This course covers the core concepts in transforming the processes of the enterprise. It includes the proper technique of documentation using BPMN2 the current process standard for documentation. Analytic techniques are presented and demonstrated that provide formal analysis of process structure and change possibilities. Focusing on high yield processes is covered through the most current formal process ranking approaches such as those based on yield versus risk. The emphasis on the digital enterprise and workflow usage today demands consideration of key BPM tools. Typical examples of some of the BPM tools used today are provided through demonstration.

This course includes extensive exercises that you can use as a starter your next project. The techniques presented in this workshop provide you with the means to increase results value by using realistic skills and knowledge. A key result of applying the skills learned in this course is achieving a lean and more flexible enterprise.
